​The widespread adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) is at the forefront of the global shift toward more sustainable and environmentally friendly transportation. As a result, the installation of EV charging infrastructure has become increasingly essential to support this growing market.

Our EV Chargepoint Installers are responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of electric vehicle charging stations. They ensure that these charging stations are operational, safe, and comply with all relevant regulations. This role involves electrical work, technical troubleshooting, and customer interaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, commission and maintain electric vehicle charging stations at various locations, including public charging stations, workplace and commercial facilities.
• Ensure that charging stations are properly connected to the electrical supply and meet all safety standards.
• Handle the installation of both AC (7.4kW to 22kW) and DC fast-charging stations (40 to 350kW).
• Perform electrical and wiring work to ensure safe and efficient installation of EV chargers.
• Conduct site assessments to determine the best placement and configuration of charging equipment.
• Collaborate with customers, contractors, and team members to schedule installations and provide technical support.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to EV charging systems.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest EV charging technologies and industry trends.

Requirements:

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation.
• 18th Edition BS7671 qualification.
• Experience in installing and maintaining EV Charging systems.
• Knowledge of EV charging technology and associated standards and regulations.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to different locations.
• Experience in installing and maintaining EV charging infrastructure.
